Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Cash Receipts Specialist to join our Boston-based accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career accounting or finance professional looking to grow within a collaborative, professional services environment. This role will report directly to the Senior Client Billing Manager. The ideal candidate is adaptable, eager to learn, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Post all firm cash receipts to client/matter and general ledger accounts within the Aderant Expert system
  • Research and identify miscellaneous cash receipts and ensure proper allocation
  • Prepare and distribute daily cash receipt reports; generate ad hoc reporting as needed
  • Process accounts receivable write-offs in accordance with company guidelines
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and assist with period-end close activities
  • Partner closely with the Client Billing team to support accurate and timely billing operations
  • Provide excellent internal customer service by responding to requests for account balances and financial reports
  • Perform additional accounting and administrative tasks as needed to support team objectives

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Management, Finance, or a related field (required)
  • 1-2+ years of accounting or finance experience preferred (recent graduates with relevant coursework considered)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word required
  • Experience with Aderant or similar billing/accounting systems is a plus
